Today, when hopping into the Crimson Armada’s private communication channels, I heard that we managed to secure an Aegis Idris for our organization.
So we all got into our current favorite fighters, for me the Kruger Intergalactic L-22 ALpha Wolf, to give it some protection in the case of an emergency and to explore it’s inside, and parked them inside the new Idris.
A Aegis Dynamics Idris hangar, loaded with 3 Ships of varying sizes. The ship in the front of the image had to turn sideways to fit with it’s large wingspan. But the L-22 Alpha Wolf would fit in quite some numbers!
A few others also spread out around the ship to man some of the many turrets, for a fast reaction time, if we were to get attacked.
I used the travel time to explore the inside of this huge ship and must say, I probably still haven’t even seen each room once. And in those that I had a look, I only took a quick inventory and did not check in detail.
The briefing room of the Aegis Dynamics Idris, used to either hold briefings for the pilots of the ships in the massive hangar, or to inform the whole crew of the Idris about the upcoming mission. It has plenty of seats, a holographic projector for visuals and a fair bit of room to have even more people standing.
One room I found interesting and haven’t seen anywhere else, especially not on other ships, is the briefing room of the Aegis Idris. And it shows for what kind of a massive crew this ship is made. It’s minimum operational crew is set at 8 and it’s recommended crew size is 28, excluding pilots for any ships stored in the hangar, which can also be quite a few!
We took the time today to equip the Idris with a huge rail gun and also swapped a lot of the turreted weapons for better, in this case harder hitting, guns.

The Crimson Armada is a tight knit organization, that works together when the opportunity arises, which do quite often, for mutual gain. No one is left behind and get support by the whole group!
